Looks fantastic. Some great participation (though not all confirmed yet). I'd love to see Su-34, -25, Ka-50!!

I dont want to hijack your thread but have you been in the past? I've never been to an airshow outside the UK, what do you do for travel arrangements? Do you book a guided tour or make your own way there? Is language a problem?

Thanks,

Alex.

Hi Alex,

I have not been to Poland yet but very often go to Europe, either for shows, Wrecks and Relics or base visits.

There are 5 or 6 of us at the Bentwaters Cold War Museum who do these trips, and 2 of them are the main regulars at organising. I would recommend, for cost purposes to always have at least 4 on a trip.

I did the Hungary show on my own last year and it worked out very expensive!

Basically the costs are flights, hotels, hire car and fuel, and make sure you take a sat nav! Hotels, fuel and hire car costs can be reduced by 75% for four of you.

This year I have been to Thailand alone but the rest - Laage base visit, Tiger Meet, Turkey, St Dizier/Paris and the rest has been as a group of 4-6. I will be going to Koksijde on Thursday and thanks to us travelling in an efficient car through the tunnel and the low price of the show makes it a relatively cheap day out.

I dont yet if I am doing the Polish trip but there be 4 of us if I do.

Hope that helps!

Mark

Would love to try something like this but I think I'd get confused by the language etc.....especially on public transport.....

Probably, but my Polish is no better than yours!

Wonder what the age limit is for car hire out there....
