An article in the Financial Press refers to what happens if we have a Global double dip recession and how it could drive a wedge between northern and southern countries in the
Eurozone.

Each euro banknote serial number tells you which country issued it some you should hold some
you should avoid

Euros to hold with the serial number and then a letter X Germany N Austria P Holland L Finland
U France Z Belgium.

Euros to avoid. M Portugal V Spain F Malta G Cyprus S Italy T Ireland and Y Greece.

Needless to say I have a lot of V euros when I went to the Post Office they were not aware.
