OK we went we saw and we probably all got rather wet, anyone have any semblance of a log or queries I have probably managed about 95% of what was visible on Friday so if anyone has any requests this should be the place to post them.

509 and 535 arrived on Wednesday 4th. 535 practised Thursday and flew the display Friday and Saturday.

My error
It was 2 F-16's on Thursday
I assume that they are Belgium and one of them was FA-101
What was the 2nd F-16

FA-101 and FA-83 arrived in the morning, J-065 and J-009 arrived in the afternoon.
CH-01 came in on the Wednesday, can't remember if it left the same day.

Hi all

Full log from my trip here.

With this show set on the last weekend of the school holidays it was a good opportunity for a spotting/family holiday with Austria being on the bucket list for both for some time. With Ryanair strikes threatened on our flight day I decided to book back up flights out on Wizzair as they were cheap enough but in the end not required. So having arrived at Bratislava at 1400hrs on Tuesday my first stop was for a Hip on route to our hotel. After a little diversion due to road closure it was located.

Tuesday 3/9/19
Probstorf, Austria
(93+44) Mi-8PS pres. Ex Germany

Wednesday 4/9/19
Gerasdorf
1706 MiG-21PF pres. Ex Poland

Vienna – Heeresgeschichtliches museum
(29566) J-29F Tunnan . ex Sweden
(13) J-35OE Draken
With time needed for sightseeing at the Schonbrunn Palace I didn’t go inside the museum but just did a circuit of the car park to see the J-29 and Draken. Some compromises have to be made....

After our time in Vienna I headed to see one of my last few Austrian Drakens at Tulln. I would complete them at Zeltweg museum. First a look at the airfield in the hope of some activity.
Tulln Langenlebarn airfield
3A-CE L-19E Bird Dog. Stored.
3C-DD Da-40 overshoot
Hangar
3C-OK OH-58B Kiowa . Special mks. Plus 1 more unreadable
6M-BD S-70A Blackhawk

Disappointing to see nothing active outside on a Wednesday in the middle of the day, but a few numbers logged at least.

Tulln an der Donau
17 J-35OE Draken. Pres on roundabout.

We then headed to our hotel for the next two nights in Admont to enjoy the Gesause National Park .
I did manage to time to have a look at
Thursday 5/9/19
Aigen im Ennstal airfield
(3E-KG) Alouette III Pres on pole.

Again, mid afternoon on a Thursday you might expect to see something active outside but never mind!

Friday 6/9/19
Today would be airshow day and the weather had taken a turn for the worse predictably! But at least it didn’t rain and was better than Saturday and the airshow itself was well worth visiting with some unusual and imaginative displays and to cap it all it was free. I think the Polish Fitter had his flare trigger stuck down as he literally fired them through the whole display!

There is mention of another Safir in a corner of the museum (3F-SR). Was this the prop aircraft behind the huge wooden cabinet on the right as you entered the hangar?

I had requested for the museum to open today as it is normally only open on Sundays and the request was kindly granted. With the poor weather at the airshow they probably made some good money too as quite a few enthusiasts had already visited by 9.30am when I left.

Great log Paul , thanks for posting
Your small German fighter was Fw190 D-FWMV Marked I+V , not sure if this was a real one or a replica
It was originally due to fly with the Spitfire on Friday but due to a oil pressure problem it was replaced with the Red Bull Corsair.

The Fw190 is one of the Flug Werke built aircraft, the tenth (990 009). Still carries 980 554 on the tail as it did when it was based at Duxford, before being sold to Meier's in Germany. Apparently has some genuine A-9 parts included. It flew practices as a 3-ship with the Spitfire and Corsair on the Wednesday and Thursday.

Saab 105s - RE-25 was the black tiger tail. The 4-ship arrived and practised with I-Red on the Wednesday; never noticed when I-Red was replaced by A-Blue.
