Dubai air show

Haven't been to this since it moved to it's new venue at DWC.
I would arrive at DXB so would probably stay near and travel to show daily..
Any information on how easy it is to get to the show and any info on hotels for easier access to show.

Last visit it was a nightmare leaving the show with massive taxi queues and shuttle buses very poor

Last time I went to the show at DWC which admittedly must be nearly 10 years ago I stayed at the Sheraton Dera ( spelling could be off) so I could spot at Dubai international. To get to the show at DWC I jumped on the Dubai metro and got a free shuttle bus at the other end. Due to the sheer size of the city the journey probably took over an hour.

DWC is massive, when the bus went through the gates there was still another 25 minutes to the show area!
