Prestwick 4th May

Post by toom317 » Sun May 05, 2019 10:44 am

Cracking day out at Prestwick yesterday. Had to go over, with all the American transports overnighting there. Leaving earlier than usual to get there by 7 am, I had missed 2 C17's that had already departed. Weather was great, chilly and a fair bit of heat haze, which I managed to work round for everything but the Moroccan 146. Rumours of 2 KC10's coming in late on, had me dithering whether to stay or not, and I probably would have in the end, but they cancelled, so I left just after V-GER landed and the last overnighting C17 took off, and missed out on the C17 that came in after 5. Good company, with Mike down from Aberdeen, Ross, who I haven't seen for a while, and the lad from Coatbridge(?), who's name I've forgotten. Hope your Aurora and C17 pics from the North end came out OK.

Another good trip through to Prestwick Danny and much better than hanging around up the Megget for the elusive C-130s

Very nice shots Danny, the C-17s from low down are great. Nice to see you again, it certainly was worth the trip.
Cheers.

Was nice to meet you Danny, some great shots there I haven't had the chance to go through mine yet but from what I can see they look fine. Thank you for the company and showing me the other spots. Kind regards Kieran, the lad from Coatbridge.
