Lakenheath Two Times

Post by reaper493 » Sun Feb 06, 2022 8:06 pm

I'd not been to LN since 2018, so felt a visit was on the cards.

Wanted to see:
1. Some marked up F-15Cs
2. Some SJs
3. Some F-35As
4. The special Reaper.

1st visit, 25th Jan - It was very cold, and very grey/hazey, shot at iso 800 1/320th most of the day, no SJs came out to play, neither did the special but was a good day non the less.

2nd visit, 2nd Feb - Bit warmer, light still not great, arrived at 2pm. Managed to catch 2 SJs landing, but was too late for any Reapers that day. Had a bash at some shots of the dusk launches that have been seen, both Strike Eagle Squadrons were active, but with multiple red balls there was a big delay in departure and the ones I caught didn't go up until 17.10 - end result was iso 3200 F2.8 1/160th, bit soft but I like them. Will give it another go for sure!
