The men who took part are commemorated each year with the airborne droppings at the Ginkelse heath near Ede. Fitting because it is one of the places where the droppings during operation Market Garden took place in 1944.
Each year the transports carrying the para's fly from Eindhoven air base. The commemorative drop being the end of a two week exercise named Falcon Leap. During the exercise participants from different countries take part in mixed flights either dropping cargo or paratroopers.
No matter the outcome of Market Garden: we will remember them.
