RAF Lakenheath Friday 10th Jan

Post by LN Strike Eagle » Sat Jan 11, 2025 1:39 pm

Booked a day off at short notice given the forecast, as I wanted to test my new lens. I upgraded from the 70-300 L to the 100-400 L MkII at the end of November but yet to give it a proper run out and I'm so thrilled with the images I got from it yesterday. Same old landing shots as usual as I wanted a direct comparison to images I've had before, but a noticeable step up in quality.

Nice to get some noseart on the Eagles, and one of the new ex-Nellis 'WA' coded jets while they're here too.

Yep, very sharp....I'd be happy with those shots mate. Money well spent.

Nice set.
Was a tad chilly wasn't it but the light was superb at times. Pleased to see that the nose art Eagles were from the first cell to return last month which I missed.
