Evening everyone!

Just a small selection from an excellent afternoon at Prestwick Airport. It could easily have been mistaken for an active military airfield with the amount of movements and the weather (and flying) were both significantly better than the reports coming from Lossiemouth.

Nice set of pictures Kev , The weather looks to be good & warm unlike the time we met at Carlisle when we stood about for hours in the cold :grr: waiting for the Dutch Apaches & Cougars to return at night during Tac Blaze  .

Thanks for the comments people. Ah Stewart! Hope you're well! I still have fond memories from Tac Blaze at Carlisle - it only took me a few days to thaw out after waiting in the cold and dark lol :)

Not sure who the 747 belongs to these days. It's an old heap which is used quite a lot for training by the fire service etc. Don't think it's airworthy either anymore.

Popped in today and yes, agree. Was like being at a military flying station.Royal Navy Hawks and Falcons were in and out all day.Seen both Seakings also plus a 6sqn typhoon doing a touch and go and 2 100 sqn hawks popped in for fuel in the morning, one in the skull and crossbow marking :thumb: all in a good wee day. :thumb:

Nice set of shots, it's amazing to think that some of the Cobham Falcon 20s are 47 years old - quite a few of them were bought from the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1990.
