Re: Garden spotting OTT'ers
Poor quality photo due to the lack of light and extreme height/distance but my first ever sighting from my garden of a USAF Lockheed U-2 up out of RAF Fairford, Call Sign Black 01, high over North Norfolk at 07:41 this morning climbing to 60,000ft+ and heading out across the North Sea to ....... !
Just catching some sun which was still below the horizon from my location (13 minutes before sunrise!).

F-16 88-0521, call sign SPANK12, flying at less than 600ft and at about 550mph over North Norfolk. it was only in sight for a few seconds and focussing was frustrated by trees and hedges getting in the way because it was so low!
I was hoping to see one of the F16 aircraft from Aviano while they were visiting RAF Lakenheath but didn't expect to see one in such dramatic fashion from my garden and so close you can see that is says "Buzzards" in the purple stripe at the top of the tail fin!

Great garden shots - far better than I get and I'm 3 miles out on the approach to Lakenheath 24.

Wow awesomeSid-104 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 11:06 amThe Lakenheath boys were having some fun above my garden near Downham Market, Norfolk earlier this week, so I had a go at capturing them in action. Heavy cropping and a mass of noise (in more ways than one) but hopefully it's of interest.
