NATO 32 - Gatwick 25 June 2020

Post by johnwickenden » Thu Jun 25, 2020 12:10 pm

Having had visits from several Atlas over the last few weeks Gatwick had a suprise visitor this lunchtime in the shape of 8 Sqn Sentry ZH106, call sign NATO 32, which performed 2 approaches before heading off to Ringway. Believe this is the first visit to LGW by an E3 and I can't remember the last time a 707 visited us ! The following were taken on climb out a couple of miles east of the airport

Its gonna rain, its gonna rain till the levee breaks, a tidal wave of fear and pain washes us away, another fight into the night until nothing else remains, how do we find harbour from the Hurricane?

Excellent shots John.
Obviously a regular over here. He's done a session for the continuation training for the controllers at Manchester and now looking for some circuit work at Mildenhall.

Thanks for positing

Wish I'd known about this, I could've watched from an office window.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Thanks for posting - absolutely love the way you have caught the flaps retracting in these shots.
