USN at NAS Landivisiau may

Post by Bruno » Thu May 12, 2022 6:16 pm

Hi,
For few days, seven aircraft from CVW-1 were deployed at NAS Landivisiau in french brittany in order to train with local Rafale M.
They arrived without notice, and there wasn't any formal communication about this event.
So when I was there last week the weather plays ball

There were two F/A-18F from VFA-11

There were too, four F/A-18E from VFA-34, VFA-211 and VFA-81 like this one

As usual at NAS Landivisiau, it is possible to take some bank shoot like this VAQ-137 Growler

In my opinion, the highlight of this bunch was this CAG bird

Definitely a 'Right place / Right time' opportunity! :ninja: Nice surprise as they were without any advance notice.
Those tip-in shots are the best with the CAG-Bird taking the honours. :thumb:

Superb,

Lovely detailed captures of very nice subjects, CAG bird is nice but the Growler is the top shot for me.

Thanks for sharing, enjoyed them.
