Military Helis in Kent
Military Helis in Kent
A bit of a catchup post of some of the action I've caught since the start of the year in Kent! We don't tend too have too much action but when there is some, can definitely get some unique shots!
First up is Vortex 333 XW213 which visited Rochester Airport twice for fuel in a day while operating out of the nearby Invicta Barracks. This is the second puma in a few months compared to none the last few years! I won't upload photos of these but have also had 4 or 5 Apache approaches and also a Dauphin in for fuel since February!

There has been a Wildcat operating out of Lydd airport for the last month or so too using the callsign Martlet15. It was nice to catch this as don't tend to get much luck with Lydd!

Finally Ex Faraday Field took place in the English Channel in January, with 3 Merlins , 2 Wildcats and 3 Chinooks operating from Saint Martins Plain Camp , a Farp was set up at Dibgate camp which offered great photographic opportunities including catching the Merlins land-locked! It was also great watching the majority of the aircraft lift in the dark for a mission all within a few minutes of each other and the chinook coming in hot to the Farp!
