Swiss Helos at Humberside
Swiss Helos at Humberside
Here's my take on the Swiss visitors who called into Humberside IAP this morning for gas and coffee en-route to Edinburgh.
Strange but interesting was the pilot of the first to land T-352 who stood on the apron in his underpants after he stripped off his immersion suit for a standard flight suit
# 1 EC-35 T-352 c/s 'SUI554'
# 2 EC-35 T-366 c/s 'SUI732'
#3 EC-35 T-358 c/s 'SUI643'
# 4 EC-35 T-368 c/s 'SUI821'
#5 AS32 Super Puma T-314 'SUI910'
#6 "Just sign here please sir"
#7 Flight 'debrief'
#8
Hope you liked them

Thanks for sharing these, some interesting visitors. It's been many years since I last went to Switzerland and when I was there it was mainly Alouettes, so time for another visit.

Great set glad you finally managed to get out to HUY for some photos
Re: Swiss Helos at Humberside
I can't imagine anyone wants to wear an immersion suit for a second longer than absolutely necessary!

I'll second what EGVP says. I used to have to wear one when going offshore, In warm weather it's your own personal sauna, with no way for the heat to get out. Once over land, getting rid of it is a great idea and stops the pilot getting dehydrated.
