Finnish Air Force Ringway

The Only time i really visit Ringway is when there are any Military Visitors, today was the turn of CC3 Casa 295M Finnish Air Force callsign FNF357

Not too frequent a visitor to these shores (except when RIAT comes along), it certainly looks good with that refuelling probe out the front.

Thanks for sharing these, nice to see. It would be nice if CC-1 came over, but that's not likely to happen. A few years ago, at one of the Fairford shows, I asked a C295 pilot why they had a refuelling probe. He didn't know and said they're unused as they had nothing to refuel from. But as Finland is in the NATO family now, maybe they will get some training at some time.

Is there any reason for this? I actually came to this thread to comment that it was a shame it's never CC-1 that comes here! Think we've had CC-2 once and CC-3 twice in Manchester now?

CC-1 is the ELINT aircraft.
