RSAF VC-130H at Warton

Post by Sprague » Wed Dec 14, 2022 11:44 am

Here's 111 as it left Warton returning to Stansted on 12 December. A civvy A330 and an A310, both Saudi-registered VIP versions, were also visiting that day.

Very nice shots and lighting on them of a pretty rare bird.
Cheers.

I love the clean lines on the Saudi schemes. All great but that sky really adds a beautiful backdrop

Nice shots, I am quite curious though, how low down on the VIP totem pole do you need to be to only get a seat on a VC-130, instead of the 330 or 310!!

In bad shape basically - in the past these were mobile hospitals, I assume they still have the same role, but not certain

Thanks for the comments. Re. the VIP hierarchy, the A330 was definitely at the top. It missed its slot to Stansted by a few minutes but that was OK because it stole a slot belonging to one of the other two aircraft so it could get away first. Warton ATC had to pick up the pieces with Eurocontrol - patient and courteous throughout.
