Wetwick 25 June 23

Post by toom317 » Mon Jun 26, 2023 10:34 am

Headed over to Prestwick on Sunday to catch the A10's leaving. Weather was ok on the journey over and I was treated to this sight when I arrived at Prestwick...18 A10's (there's only 15 in this shot). I already had the MI coded A10's from earlier in the month, so it was great to see it was the ID and MD coded A10's that were leaving, so all 18 photographed in the end.

However about 15 minutes before the Idaho A10's left the heavens opened, but at least the wind shifted to bring Runway 30 into use, affording taxy and take off shots from the mound.

About an hour later the Maryland A10's departed and while it was still raining, it had let up a bit

Now #1 is a shot one really really does not expect to see from a Civvie airport in the UK :O
Absolutely fabulous captures in desperate weather conditions so thanks very much for sharing the moments with all of us who couldn't travel
Best regards, Terry
