There was also a USN C-130T but it took off on 21 and landed on 03, so eluded us, as did the VAW-116 'Sun Kings' CAG E-2 that departed but hadn't come back before we had to go. We did see a pair of MH-47Gs and a MH-60M depart in the distance, sadly they didn't come anywhere near us :'(

Thanks Chris
What a selection - Fantastic
The C130T looks to have been 169441 as CNV3927 dep. via R24 out at 10:20 local time to St Nicholas Island
Can you advise which other airfields featured on your trip please ?
Any tips for photography at Pt Mugu appreciated
Best regards,
Paul

164441/JW, but yes, tracked it to St Nicholas Island and eventually back to Pt Mugu, but it landed on 03, annoyingly! There was other traffic in the area (CA ANG HC-130J, P-8, CMV-22B - some went to Santa Barbara) which we thought might make an appearance, but didn't in the time we were there.

Short trip, just Pt Mugu and one other place the day before (clues on Flickr!)

All taken from the missile park at Pt Mugu, which is a perfect spot for traffic landing on 21, until the light comes around early afternoon.

Was very happy to get that, as I missed it back in March when it landed on the other runway!
