Tac Blaze 2025 - Tuesday 1 April

Post by alanp » Thu Apr 03, 2025 8:21 pm

Just a couple from a trip to Butterburn to catch the Dutch on their annual Tac Blaze deployment to Carlisle. A smaller one this year - just three Apaches and three Chinooks. Arriving early, I had a very long wait for the action (should have read the NOTAM!), with the Apaches arriving around 17 30 but never getting closer than five miles. The Chinooks followed on but again stayed clear until the very last rays of the sun were receding, when they gave us two lovely passes down the river.

Hi Alan, nice to catch up with you and a few other folk during the day. A long day with a bit of a reward right at the end.
