Lakenheath and Mildenhall April 2025 (large post)

Post by Yunglee » Wed Apr 23, 2025 4:18 pm

It's been over a year since I've spent time in Suffolk so it was great to be back twice in April, mainly at Lakenheath
Here's my favourite from the 2, 3 and 16 April 2025

3 April
Lakenheath departures from out of runway 05 with photographs taken from the forest entrance accompanied with clear skies and just a bit of moisture in the air

Great set of images. The massive afterburner in the first image is very impressive. There seems to be a few engines in the LN Strike Eagle fleet that create such effects (I’ve got shots of 91-0320 - starboard engine - doing a very similar thing back in 2022). Thanks for sharing.
