Patrick out of the GR1, GR4 and F-3 Tornado, Herc J and these girls that I've worked on in my time in the RAF, I've got to say I've fallen in love with the L-1011 (tristar) (as I said though 706 was my personal fave :) )

Never got to do that route on them but I did work VASS down there in '97-98 seeing them in.

i was on it, 4th window after centre door :D

was the flight from hell, Bastion-Akrotiri-Manchester-Belfast-Brize, horrendously long, and that was after a 30 minute flight from Kandahar to Bastion on one of the new 146s.

Nice view over the wing then Yellowbelly lol, I used to sit right at the back in the very last row of seats when I worked on them. (no reason other than that's where they always put the ground crew)
