The tolls take cards and cash at the manned booths and coins into coin bins.

As you drive into the toll station the booths will be signposted as to which one take credit, cash or pre-paid. The cash ones also take notes.

Hope you have read the article on Scramble about spotting in Greece, and in particular Araxos.

Tiger Meet is an organised event which I’m sure everyone has had to apply to attend.

I’m sure he won’t be stopping at random air bases which most know is not allowed.

As stated in one if the Scramble reports, the Inochios spotters day was organised but two individuals managed to get detained for a while.
Personally if I was travelling to Greece to attend an aviation event I would be grateful for any updates. The issues that have occurred there are well documented and it does not appear that the situation has changed.
Greek Noratlas at Elefsis and F-102 and F-104 @ Tanagra were the days

I’ve been to organised events in Greece on a couple of occasions with no problems.

They are a bit paranoid but if you behave yourself there is no reason to worry.

I am only in Greece from 5pm Thursday until 7am Sunday morning so

Thursday afternoon civil at Athens
Friday -:Tiger meet - all day?
Saturday - Hellenic Air force Museum at Tatoi plus Athens again in the pm for civil

Obviously on the way back from Araxos you drive very close to Megara but i will decide on the day what to do about it - probably nothing!

Cost is racking up - just downloaded a map for the TomTom - £18
Check out Navmii the next time you go away. It's free and superb.

You just down-load the maps at home when you have an Internet connection, prior to departing.

Cheers will do next time

Just left the 'show' after a dodgy start shooting into the sun ( I didn't mind as the numbers were consistently going in the log , the afternoon launch produced decent results with the finale being the arrival of two HAF phantoms and a impromptu display by a Mi-24

Still at Athens until Sunday morning so haven't gone through my log properly but some obvious additions for the PM launch include :-

3371 Mi-24 Czech
135 30-GN Rafale C
35 Rafale M blue NTM 2022 scheme
1045 or 045 F-16C NTM 2022 tiger scheme (93-1045 under the canopy)
024 F-16D towed ( forgot to log the unit )

Two FAP F-16 could be seen at the bottom end, one read off as 15120

1530 F-4E
1507 F-4E both arrived after the last recoveries about 16:30 local

T-786 PC-24 arrived as we were leaving

Spanish hornet coded 15-08 had the serial C.15-21 in a stylized font at the tip of the tail

(On the way in the bus passed a preserved 335M F-104 in a gorgeous tiger scheme , I couldn't make out a serial plus nearby an A-7 in camo without a serial)

I logged 004 as either parked or being towed in the far side shelter area (opposite the enclosure). I can't recall which I'm afraid.

The other should have been 15106 and should have been wearing the Tiger Tail,

Just going through my bits of paper and I don't have 004 logged either and I need it!
