Thank you.
I think the one I'm after (old EC-130Q) might currently be in Australia (hopefully just a Southern Hemisphere thing!).

Which EC-130Q are you after, is it N131CG ex 161495? If so, you are correct, it is operating out of Richmond, NSW and has been in Australia since 11/2024.Nighthawk237 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 6:23 amThank you.

The fuselage of the crashed KC-130J 166765 [which crashed in a field close to the airport following a collision with a F-35B on 29/09/2020, all crew members survived including the F-35B pilot who ejected] was at Thermal. After the crash landing of the KC-130J the outer wings, engines and tail were removed and the fuselage was transported to Thermal 10/2020. Does anyone know where it went after that?

The Scramble database reckons it was last noted at Fort Elliott (CA) this month. The closest I can find to that is the former Camp Elliott, which is/was(?) close to what is now Miramar MCAS.SuperPole wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 5:33 pmThe fuselage of the crashed KC-130J 166765 [which crashed in a field close to the airport following a collision with a F-35B on 29/09/2020, all crew members survived including the F-35B pilot who ejected] was at Thermal. Superpole: Yes, correct. I take it that is goes to Oz for their Summer (possible fire-fighting) season? If so, the irony!
