NHS Spitfire - Humberside

Post by rainers » Sun Jul 12, 2020 9:09 am

A little trip to Humberside to catch today's 'Thank U NHS' flight.

John Romain, the pilot of Spitfire PR Mk.XI PL983 is flying around the country to mark the work of NHS staff during the pandemic, and the aircraft bears the words ‘Thank U NHS’ on it’s underside.

Today he was joined by Spitfire Mk.XVI TD248, and Spitfire FR Mk.XVIIIe SM845 on his tour of hospitals around North Linconshire.

The last four were taken from the 02 end of the runway, near the approach lights.
