Great set Keith I think we must have been stood 'shoulder to shoulder' at some points on the line.
It was a proper base with proper planes, but alas it didn't fit into the great scheme of things

What a fabulous set of pictures and as others have remarked, the would seem the sun would shine at Binbrook on occasions! Oh for a time machine.

Nice to see Beaver XP811 featured too - sadly this aircraft crashed at Culdrose Air Day the following year whilst displaying in strong crosswinds - the pilot sadly losing his life.
