Today 55 years ago I visited the Canadian Air Base of Baden-Sollingen. The day before I was standing in the approach of Strasbourg-Entzheim where taking photos was a bit difficult. I have included some pictures from Strasbourg-Entzheim. I hope you like the images.

Further to my earlier reply, I called in at the Midland Aircraft Museum at Baginton, that's Coventry Airport for those younger ones, today and noted that the Sabre tail is still on display. I last visited this museum in 1994 and still interesting. The only F-101 displayed in the UK is now in Canadian markings, whilst one of the French T-33s is in Italian markings. But saying that, the airport is heading for closure but at least the museum is still there and worth a visit. The toasties in the cafe are good and it's worth browsing the secondhand book selection. I splashed out £3 on two really interesting books. Please make the effort and visit.
