USA East Coast - A few from Pax River museum

Post by Sixoneseven » Wed Jul 03, 2024 10:00 am

What a fantastic place for anyone with an interest in naval aviation. I had never seen a Vigilante, Cougar or Skyray before, not to mention that weird X-32B. The only slight downside is that most stuff is outdoors so is beginning to suffer a bit from the weather, but if you ever get the chance, go there!

Thanks for posting these. Good place to visit, shame the base is so difficult. And as for the X32B, some people call the F35 fugly!

Super museum with some very talkative volunteers - hope you got to Dover AFB museum too.

Fabulous post - Buckeye, Skyray and Vigilante are my personal pick.

Some real eclectic ‘frames in the mix there

That Vigilante must have been a beast to land on deck :Wow:

Thanks for posting, Chris :thumb:

Some really cool shots there, need to try and go there the next time I'm on the east coast! That X-32 looks in terrible shape compared to some of the older equipment. Not a particularly good looking plane to start with though.
