Mid-80's again.

Post by Fibrous Freddie » Fri Jun 06, 2025 8:24 am

As mentioned in my advert for magazines, after sixty-five years of chasing aeroplanes, aviation seems to have left me. In throwing away and clearing out came across rather a lot of negatives that had not seen the light of day in more than thirty years. Some are possibly worthy of exposure... They may trigger a few memories for the oldies, or for the younger souls to see what they have missed. A few follow as maybe a first batch... bear in mind that the lack of image quality is partly due to the equipment but mainly the user.

If you've persisted this far beyond the 'enigmatic and almost pointless title'...
From the mid-80's.

Everyone has a photographic memory; some just don't have film.

Thanks for sharing these with us, very interesting shots, nice to see the Hunters at Yeovilton. That Meteor is one I'm intrigued by, out of curiosity, which one and where? MTIA.

RAF Wattisham, North side, a decoy... about July 1984 (I think but am more than willing to be corrected.)

Thanks Freddie, that's VZ634, which moved to Newark Air Museum nearly forty years ago and still there.
