A bakers half dozen Sea Furies

Post by paddyboy » Thu Jul 16, 2015 3:36 pm

Hi Peeps :P

Had to dig out the 'Fighter Meet' progs to confirm the venue for these

I can almost hear that gorgeous engine note from here ;)

Hope they are worth a peek

Great shots Paddy, my favourite piston engine fighter. Saw three one year at North Weald, all in the air at once!

Afternoon Paddyboy,

Nice selection, always good to see something different. Number 3 does it for me :thumb:

Kind Regards,

That two-seater is cool, PB. See you caught it just two months before it was written off (since rebuilt) :thumb:

Saud and jem60

it was the FB.11 TF956 that went swimming off Prestwick in 89 after John Beattie tried to get one of the errant undercarriage legs to extend, the 2 seat T.20 had its argument with the only tree in the field in 1990.

I think.... I was also at the Fighter Meet 1989, as it was the one where the Vulcan operated from NW, and promptly trashed a section of the runway which got airborne when the Vulcan powered up and took off

Thats a cracking set Patrick!
Not sure which scheme i prefer though..... The RN colours are definitely nice, but the RAF Silver/Yellow just looks SO good in the sunshine.

Pity there's no soundtrack - sleeve-valve Bristol Centaurus - sheer audio paradise. :D
