Ely hospital gate guard

Post by viper3111 » Sat Oct 24, 2009 6:50 pm

Hi all
I posted this on the old site and got one very helpfull response, I am after any pictures of the Gloster meteor NF.14 that used to be on gate gaurd at the RAF hospital in Ely cambs. I intend on building a model of this aircraft for my 'local conections' display. I know that the aircraft is still around as it is in the malta air museum. It is currently in its silver and orange colours, but I would like it in its camo colours. It is coded WS774 if this helps.

Thanks in advance

You've probably seen these in your search already?

Some from the 1970s

Black and white from 1960

Many thank's
I have seen the colour set before but I havnt seen the black and white one though, That is an interesting picture as it has some very large 'bands' of colour near the nose and tail which the restored pictures I have seen of it don't have. If any one has any more pictures of this aircraft when it was operational that would be even better.
