Hi Arnold, just an absolutely wonderful post 
Never got over to Soesterberg but saw many shots of the 32TFS 'CR' birds.
These TF-104G's and the Bitburg F-4E's are really stunning - as already mentioned I don't recall ever seeing 'BU' tailcode although did catch an F-4D with 'BR' at the Upper Heyford show in 1972
