Now with a new edition of Frisian Flag kicking off next week I thought I would look back at the edition 20 years ago. That time Swedisch Viggens were based at Twente AB while Reapers, Finnish Hornets, French Mirages and Dutch F16's were at Leeuwarden. All scans from colournegatives.

Beautiful pictures Harold. This exercise has always produced interesting participants and lucky you to have access to those bases. I guess we meet in the coming days for edition 2022. Thanks a lot for sharing these images.

Another one I was unable to get to and what a selection. The Viggens were always a highlight wherever they turned up, but the Mirages are nice too. Thanks for sharing these with us.

Loving the Viggen and Mirage F1 shots in particular. Only ever saw Viggens at airshows - would have been great to see them on a proper deployment. Thanks for posting.
