A few of the Eagles I managed to get. Looks like I had slightly more luck with 32TFS Eagles than I did with their Phantoms!
F-15A 77-0092 32TFS Mildenhall 25th May 1979
F-15B 77-0157 32TFS Mildenhall 25th May 1979
F-15B_77-0158 32TFS Greenham Common 22nd June 1979
F-15A 77-0081 32TFS Greenham Common 23rd June 1979
F-15C 78-0547 36TFW Coltishall 19th August 1980

Very nice selection, thanks for sharing these. I must admit that the first time I saw any, I was very impressed and they looked so futuristic.

Sorry to disappoint you - I'm afraid I dropped out of taking aircraft pictures around 1980/81ish so not many Eagles at all.

Great set of images here. Does anybody know of a reasonable explanation why the 'CR' Soesterberg Eagles had all black wheels whilst 'BT' Bitburg Eagles had white nose-wheels & grey main-gear as shown in the last shot above?

Edit:- Then I notice the second jet into Mildenhall in shot 2 above has grey main gear. Maybe it's just a tyre-bay lottery?

Strangely although I have seen Eagles from BT - Bitburg, IS - Keflavic and LN - Lakenheath I never saw a CR coded Eagle unfortunately but I have also seen 2 EG - Elgln AFB Eagles.

I think you may have seen the 'EG' jets at IAT Boscombe Down? They were from Eglin.... not Moray!

Never seen one like that last one (side on with air brake fully deployed) before so did nt realise it's size. Barn door comes to mind!
