I'm a persistent little chap.
Ten more scans with a bit of variety. Mainly 1980's.
It wasn't all 'beer and burgers'. The roads were 'different' (but less busy) and there were so many bases to visit, and an airshow almost every weekend. I'm glad I took some photos, but just as glad that I looked and listened and took it in at the time. I'm enjoying scanning the slides, but just like watching a Youtube video of a concert you attended it is nothing like the same.
Absolute kudos to those taking great images these days...
I may toddle along to Lakenheath one day this summer but I won't be bringing the camera and long lens. Having seen the F-100D's leave they now tell me that the phantoms have gone! (I know!)

Wattisham... a twenty-five minute drive away from where I lived for a few years. Cracking place to spend a day... The North side taxiway was a spot I visited often, but rarely took photos from... Maybe I thought that the jets would be there for ever!

I've come across a few Vulcan shots in a box... first one for here. May scan a Boscombe Down take-off for tomorrow.

Back to Yeovilton... I'd guess 1985 or 1986.

No idea where... don't remember this one at all. May be an airshow?

Just a proper jet!

No idea what this is/was? I'm guessing Upper Heyford 1987ish?

Standard May Mildenhall fare... excellent as always.

I was always impressed with this demo...

As previously noted... one of my favourite types... Harrier GR3 from 233 OCU. To my eyes the most purposeful, best looking Harrier.

For those hoping for a coherent pattern... keep on hoping!
Thanks for looking

" I visited often, but rarely took photos from... Maybe I thought that the jets would be there for ever!".....how true that rings with me but also the cost of film and developing in my case would limit how many pics i took it could add a considerable amount of money to an airshow trip...cracking set of pics ...cheers
Re: Ten scans for Saturday.
Always great to see Aardvarks and Ravens. As you summed up perfectly - ‘just a proper jet’. Couldn’t agree more!
Re: Ten scans for Saturday.
Nice catch of the TR-1 about to touch down. Doubtless the chase car with the stabilisers would have been in hot pursuit!
Re: Ten scans for Saturday.
More gems from the past, the nice thing about the photos is they evoke deeper memories of the time.
Roughly how many slides do you have?
