First time visit to this museum on a day with nice skies and some great airframes.

V. nice Mike. Esp the Tonka in II Sqn. Ann. mks and the ex 1FTS display JP. Just a pity it's down t'other end of the country. Wonder if the wife's up for a holiday in Newquay this year?

Thanks for sharing these, the collection is growing but these places need support from visitors. My wife has got used to being taken round museums, an added bonus for her is if she can get a decent coffee with some home made cake.

Some interesting bits and pieces. Have they actually had someone recreate the 2 squadron Tornado anniversary tail? Its a remarkably good job albeit in slightly smaller scale. Are the One-Eleven and VC10 accessible?

The VC10 is accessible although I do not know if it is every day - might depend on volunteer availability.
Interesting collection and also location - we visited recently, possibly around the same time as the OP ?
We had a lovely coffee + a huge slab of ultra sticky cherry flapjack each.

First time back at St Mawgan since the early 80's - last time I arrived was via a Bulldog 2 ship from ULAS Abingdon - a prior planning trip to arrange facilities for the University Cadet Pilots 3 week summer camp - I did 3 summer camps with ULAS (as groundcrew) and St Mawgan was definitely the nicest venue :).

My 1st visit there was via a 115 Sqn Argosy in 1974 ish for an exercise (I was on 231 OCU Canberras at that time).

Somebody noted when I was there that this VC-10 was one of the two that had the 'The Empire Strikes Back' nose art.

Nice pics of my local museum, only a shame the local council want them out! They have asked the museum when are you leaving! And when they said we aren't going anywhere, the council responded by raising the rent to an extortionate rate !
