A dozen bits of airborne 'Tartan'.

Post by Fibrous Freddie » Thu Jul 28, 2022 6:34 pm

Hi All
I'm back again... been a bit busy...

Well done to those who bothered to look past the title.

'Tis a bit of a tease!!!! :P :P :P

Well there really is a bit of VC10 or VC10 hose in each image!

Again, no excuse for the smudges etc. but some of RAF Coltishall's finest (images from from mid 2003?...)
(IMHO RAF Coltishall's very finest finest were the Lightnings... willing to debate and differ).

The 'room with a view' was a 'Tartan' callsign RAF Brize Norton VC10.

An altogether different view to that from the Tristar using a centre-line hose.

Personally, images 9 and 11 'do it for me' :) :) :)

Ahhh; memories!

Anyway less waffle and on with the images... :pop:

Rather unrepeatable so they'll have to do... I'm actually pleased with them.

That's all for now...

Hope that you have enjoyed.

Hi FF :P

There can be no ‘debate’

The EE Lightnings were my beloved Coltishall’s finest (imho) :Wow:

Those stalky little cats did run them close, though ;)

Fabulous set there

Thanks for posting :thumb:
