Commemerative Air Force - Minnesota Wing

Post by JAWS » Thu Feb 11, 2010 2:57 am

I was up in MInneapolis and unfortunately the ANGB Museum is closed till April :@ :@ , so I took a look at the Minnesota Wing of the CAF located at Fleming Field in South Saint-Paul. Nice friendly place , no entry fee but donations most welcome. Only a few aircraft but I was allowed full access to the hangar while maintenance was going on all around. They allowed me to take any shot I wanted and was also allowed to climb inside the B-25 and sit in the cockpit etc. If any one finds themselves in Minneapolis with a couple of hours to spare I thoroughly recommend paying them a visit.
Unfortunately their P-51C " Tuskeegee Airmen " was away in Texas due to some problems with the FAA over the propeller that had been recently fitted.
