Dalaman (Turkey) 02/09/24 & 16/09/24
Hi, 2 x AT808's were parked across the runway from the civil apron with a couple of civil AN-32's used for fire fighting.
I also observed 2 x AT808's at Izmir Selcuk (near Epheusus) on 14/09/24 with T-351 & T-352 on their tails (also carrying Spanish Civil). My question is are these pseudo Government / military operated and were these the same machines seen at Dalaman (or are there many operating in Turkey)?
Other Military aircraft observed on 16/09 were the 2 Gate Guards - visible when approaching the terminal on the right hand side:-
69224 F5A
8060 F104G
Plus the T33 (14228) which is far right at the rear of the military base and viewed upon take off.
The only other items of interest were TCB-702 ATR-72 which took off before us and the fine sight of a UAV landing (a TB2?) whilst queuing at the gate.
Thanks
Dave

Turkey - Dalaman / Selcuk AT808's
Re: Turkey - Dalaman / Selcuk AT808's
Dave,
Turkey's General Directorate of Forestry (Orman Genel Müdürlüğü, OGM) ordered 20 AT-802's for firefighting and according to Sramble.nl at least 8 have been delivered but their registrations are OR-2021 onwards - https://scramble.nl/database/military/tr#results.
Turkey are/were leasing ten AT-802's from the Spanish Company Titan Firefighting. I suspect, but could be wrong, that these may be what you saw at Izmir Selcuk and the T-351/T-352 may be some kind of Titan Firefighting Company codes, what were the civil registrations ?
