Easy logistics, flew into Cleveland and got an Uber to an AirBnB within walking distance of the airfield, no issues with safety.
Arrivals on Thursday were great from the local park to the west, the Police cleared this area on Friday but you can get into the Burke departures lounge and watch a few landings and movements from there instead.
The show is mostly north facing with a nice backdrop, I wouldn’t bother with paid seating unless you can get seats opposite where a taxiway branches off, otherwise you get banners and speakers blocking your view. The public crowdline at the west end is better and they thankfully ran out of speakers by the time they got there.
Pretty good show, 50/50 ratio of military to filler acts, good statics but cluttered, would recommend a visit.
Highlights for me: Watching the Bayou Militia tearing up the airfield for half an hour with an old LN jet, and seeing the Blues flying though the skyscrapers and smoking out downtown Cleveland!
