Is this an airshow? Mods please relocate this report if reqd.
Good day at Elvington on Sunday, although first the Victor had a fire warning so couldnt fast taxi and then the Buccaneer also had a tech after a big power up.

Hi

Nice pics cgull123. Shame the runs did not work out.

Did you get inside the Dakota ? I went inside on Tuesday and had a very informative talk by some of the guys working on the restoration. One point of particular interest was that the Dak will be taxiying by late this year, early next year. It sounds like it has been hard work replacing the parts removed before Air Atlantique gave it to the museum. Good on them for there hard work.

And good on all the Volunteers at the Yorkshire Air Museum. The museum gets better every time I visit. The first time I visited there were the Lightning and Buccaneer in what is now the restoration shop and the Mosquitoe in what is now the `fire station`. Its grown in to fantastic collection on a very well kept site.

... and they dont follow me any more. Maybe I look more respectable now, though probably just older :P
