Abingdon 2010- First post

Post by Seamus » Sun May 09, 2010 10:08 am

Morning all,

Been looking in here for a while now, so thought I may as well join up and share a few photos. Abingdon was my first chance to have a crack with my new Canon 40D and 100-400L. I struggled with the low light, so there's much to learn, but I came away with a few keepers (I think!)

Any tips on how I can improve, both with the camera set up and editing, would be much appreciated

Cheers

Shaun :)

Considering the weather, these are not bad at all Shaun! I especially like the second shot of WZ507, she seems to have got the only sun all day!

You must have had a better weekend than me, stuck inside doing Risk Analysis and MATLAB. :@ :P

Oh, and welcome to FC! :thumb:

Cheers lads

Ben, can't say I envy that at all  Hope it's all going well though, seems an age ago for me now :S

Dan, you're right about the graining, as you say a result of high ISO. I hadn't run them through neat image, but have since downloaded it it and had a play. I think they look better, though I'm still trying to balance between reducing the noise and mainting a sharp enough image.

Here's a few re-edits, let me know what you think :)
