A very wet Chard, Historic Helicopters Open Day 2021

Post by xkekeith » Fri Aug 06, 2021 8:54 pm

Those that braved the very wet weather and waited patiently until the late afternoon were rewarded when Historic Helicopters launched a loose formation of five Westland helicopters as the weather eased. The helicopters in addition all gave a solo display of which the Sea King was the most spirited:

Finally the former SAS taxi Scout AH.1 XW283:

A big shout out to the crews and support staff for making the display happen despite the worst August weather I can remember for a while.....

We must have been stood next to one another for the scout landing, lovely set. It was a terrific show, such a pity about the rain.

Hi Keith,
That is an excellent set of shots but that last one is fantastic.
All the best
