South Wales Aviation Museum Evening and Night Shoot
South Wales Aviation Museum Evening and Night Shoot
A first time visit to the Museum for me, having missed the last Night Shoot held there a few years ago, for another event organised by Threshold.
For those that don't know, the Museum is on part of the former RAF St Athan, and have a good selection of aircraft within their collection.
Here are my selection of photos from the event:

The Shackleton wasn't lit for the Night Shoot, so relying on a long shutter time to get the photo:

Very interesting selection of shots and thank you for sharing these. It's nice to see the enthusiasm for setting up a collection of museum aircraft at Saints, I hope it continues and it encourages some more interesting aircraft to arrive for this collection. And I hope it doesn't end up like previous or similar museums that end up closing.

Lovely post Roger. I love the dusk and night shots but the Shackleton is a beauty without being lit. The starry sky adds something special in my opinion.

Certainly a good range of aircraft there, and I'm sure more will follow in the coming years.

I wasn't going to photograph the Shackleton as it wasn't lit, but after seeing what others had achieved with their photos I though I'd have a go.

Thanks.
I was due to go to the first event, but wussed out when I saw the weather forecast, so was pleased to see this on the calendar of events from Threshold.

Superb quality pics of some classic old birds most of which appear well preserved, I have to say that the Shack is an absolute triumph.
Thanks very much for sharing them
