A dry evening at Historic Helicopters!

Post by Seacat192 » Sun Mar 06, 2022 9:52 am

My third Night Shoot of the year, and it was just a few miles down the road to Historic Helicopters near Chard in Somerset.

Unlike the previous Night Shoot and Open Day, held in 2020 and 2021 respectively, the rain held off for this event - though I drove through some light rain on the way home!

Due to circumstances beyond their control, only one of the Belgian Sea Kings was lit up and the hoped for engine run didn't take place, but there was still an engine run from the ex Army Air Corps Lynx.

Thanks to the owner at Historic Helicopters for allowing the event to take place, and to Threshold.aero for running the event.

Thanks for looking.

Roger

Nice pics there Roger, they do look very similar to mine, but yours are in focus!
I thought it was a bit "Coppers in a farmyard (stable yard)". Enjoy it though.

Good.

I didn’t have any food at HH, but the coffee was lovely!

Thanks.

It was the first time I’d seen the ex Belgian Sea Kings.

Great pictures, like the Belgium with the moody sky. The weather was great but cold and very much recommend the bacon roll went down a treat.
