It is indeed a 'Heritage' scheme in the markings of the 74th Fighter Squadron when it flew P-40s in China from 1942 to 1945. All of the 23rd Fighter Wing's 'Flying Tigers' Warhawks carried large numerals on the nose or fins. The A-10 is with the current squadron.

Thanks for sharing this, nice shot of an interesting scheme. The A-10 seems to be the machine of the moment this month, always welcome to see them.
