The Blades Final Flypast - Sywell

Hopefully this is the right place to post this - please delete/move as seen fit...

Friday 14th April was the final flying day for The Blades out of Sywell, living only 15 mins away it would have been rude not to have ventured over, especially with rumours of a special flypast and a final display (no photos of the display taken unfortunately as the rain decided to open up rather impressively during the display).

The flypast consisted of the following; 4 x Blades , The Grace Spitfire, EE602 Spitfire (Duxford Based), P2902 Hurricane, ME109 Buchon and the P51 Contrary Mary. The flypast consisted of 3 passes, each one a little closer to us, with the final pass directly overhead.

There was also a final display but as mentioned above, no decent photos of that due to the rain, but I tried to capture some of the events post display.
