Military Airshow 2025 - Shuttleworth Collection

On Saturday I took the short trip across to the Shuttleworth Collection for the 2025 instalment of the Military Airshow, a thoroughly enjoyable day, especially with the split flying schedule over both the afternoon and the evening. Lots of nice formation passes in some stunning light, special mention to the SE5A and Spitfire dissimilar passes which were presented with such precision despite the speed differences.

The absolute standout participants came at the start of the evening segment, the P36C and P40F of The Fighter Collection being flown expertly and super close for a formation pass, before breaking off into their own routines, which lead to some of the finest passes I have ever seen at Shuttleworth by Brian Smith in the P40F Warhawk.

I'm not a photographer, but these are some of the best shots I've seen recently. I loved the close up of the Anson. Spent some time in the right-hand seat of Ansons in my A.T.C. days. [That dates me somewhat!!.] Regards, John.
