Dodging the Showers at Duxford

Post by Professor_M » Sat Jun 07, 2025 6:46 pm

A few from today at an overcast Duxford. Fortunately the rain mostly held off until after the flying had concluded.

Peter Kuypers opened the show in his rather spritely Beech D17S Staggerwing...

An excellent formation display from two Mk.IX Spitfires - Paul Bonhomme in MH434 & Brian Smith in D-Day veteran ML417. It's been good to see the often reclusive Comanche Spitfires appearing at both of the flying days so far this year...

Fighter Aviation Engineering's Spitfire FRXIV & Thunderbolt closed the show with a brief pairs appearance before splitting into their own routines. A challenging day for photos, but enjoyable to watch.

Thanks for looking.
