Nice shot ! Can you share which AF methods are you using - looks like spot AF rather than animal eye tracking with all that foliage around ? Thanks

Yes eye tracking & subject identification was off and just using central AF spot with back button focusing.

Plus 1 for your comment xkekeith. Also consider the 'de-sensitise' setting for switching focus subjects to limit the temptatation for the auto-focus to grab a nearby item to focus on!
