I'm thinking of upgrading from a Canon 5D mk2 to a Mk4 but somewhat puzzled by the discrepancy in price.

If you check here there are new units at £1900 versus £2600 !!!
Does anybody understand why there is such a massive margin.

I have used this site many times and have always been impressed by the service and speed of delivery. Yes they are imports but they still have the same warranty as a UK version and to be fair the only difference between an import and an 'official' camera is a piece of paper saying UK warranty. I saved myself well over a grand buying my camera from here.

Panamoz have them at £2099 I believe. I haven't actually used them myself yet but will when I get a MkIV this year as I know a few pro photgoraphers who buy their kit from them and recommend them.

Panamoz gets a vote from me too, used them on a few occasions and all is good.

Thks everyone, yes just come across Panamoz and looks good.
Incidentally if you do buy an import do you not get an end of year VAT invoice from HMRC ?

Panamoz (and SLRhut) say they pay all import and customs duties and there will be no extra charge - these statements are in the 'about us' sections of their respective web sites
I am vaguely interested in a Nikon D850 body - WEX £3400 , SLRhut £2600
SLRhut specifically say VAT is included but I have not used either company - still seems a lot of money for an amateur to pay for maybe a small improvement in the photos

I've not used Panamoz but I've brought lots of kit from HDEW photography (
https://www.hdewcameras.co.uk/) I got my 5D4 from them. They are grey imports and they are quite open about it. The price they advertise is the price you pay, VAT's included. They give a 3 year warranty (Its via an independent warranty). If your "worried" then they have a shop you can go collect from.

+ 1 from me on HDEW, bought 2 Lenses from them last year, faultless service. Looking to upgrade (Well buy another anyway) body this year from them as well.

Another vote for HDEW. Bought two bodies from them so far and faultless service on both occasions.
